BBQ School Gift Vouchers & Class Vouchers
BBQ School gift vouchers and class vouchers can be purchased online, by phone and in person.
BBQ School accepts payment for all vouchers by; credit card, direct deposit and cash. (Surcharges may apply)
BBQ School gift vouchers and class vouchers are non-refundable and not transferable for cash.
All prices include GST
BBQ School gift vouchers and class vouchers are issued as e-vouchers, in a printable PDF attachment. An automated email containing your e-voucher is forwarded to your nominated email address once the payment has been successfully processed.
BBQ School gift voucher and class vouchers either have a; 6 month or 12 month expiry date. The expiry is listed on the voucher.
BBQ School gift voucher and class vouchers must be redeemed and the class attended before the expiry date.
Expired gift vouchers and class vouchers will not be redeemable after expiry.
BBQ School is happy to transfer the gift voucher or class vouchers into another name, if the purchaser or recipient give permission.
NB – Class Vouchers that have expired may be extended for an additional 3 months for $25 or $50 for 6 months. This is at the discretion of management who reserve the right based on the circumstances at hand.
BBQ School Class Bookings
BBQ School accepts bookings online, by phone and in person up to 24 hours before classes (subject to availability).
BBQ School accepts payment for all bookings by; credit card, direct deposit and cash. (Surcharges may apply).
All prices include GST.
Payment is to be made in advance to secure the bookings. The booking cannot be confirmed until full payment is made. Once payment is successfully processed, an automated email will be forwarded to your nominated email address, this is your booking confirmation and receipt.
BBQ School class bookings are non-refundable and not transferable for cash.
BBQ School is happy to transfer the class booking into another name, if the purchaser or original persons booked give permission.
BBQ School will send a reminder email or phone call to the purchaser (or student if different) a few days before each class.
Cancelling, Transferring or Postponing a Booking
Cancelling, postponing or transferring a booking can be completed up to 72 hours prior to the class without loss of class fees. BBQ School will enroll the student into the next available class (subject to availability).
Changes made after this time including “No Shows” will result in loss of class fee.
We are happy to re-book customers who provide late notice (within 72 hours prior to the scheduled class) into an alternative class, however a charge of $50 is required in order to cover our produce costs. No shows will forfeit their class.
Refunds are not available. BBQ School is happy to transfer the class booking into another name, if the purchaser or original persons booked give permission.
BBQ School Cancelling or Postponing a Class
BBQ School endeavours to run all classes scheduled. However, occasionally not enough bookings are made to warrant the class proceeding or a circumstance out of our control dictates that the class will not go ahead (Double booking at a venue / fire hazard etc).
In these rare cases, BBQ School will contact all student affected at least 48 hours beforehand to offer to transfer their booking to another class and /or date.
American Smoking BBQ Class – BBQ School endeavours to run all classes scheduled. However, when a total fire ban is in place we are unable to run the American smoking BBQ Class, BBQ School will contact all students affected before the class start time to offer to transfer their booking to another class and /or date, but this contact may come on the day of a class depending on when the fire ban is put in place.
Dietary Requirements and Food Allergies
Please advise us of any food allergies or dietary requirements that you might have at the time of booking.
We are not always able to accommodate all food allergies or dietary requirements, as you form part of a larger class our class menus cannot be tailored to suit the needs of special requests as it causes disruption to our recipes and the flow of the class. However, we may be able to provide you with an *alternate dining option for a $20 supplementary cost. This alternate option may not be demonstrated to you in the class.
*72 hours’ notice is required for the supply of an alternate dining option.
BBQ School Classes
Class start time; to ensure that the class runs on time, Can we please ask that you to treat the booking as you would a theatre ticket and show up on time. We ask students to arrive 15 minutes prior to the class and no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the class.
If a student is late for a class, it is their responsibility to catch up with the rest of the class and minimize disruption, as they enter.
What to bring; we would request that all participants wear covered shoes, Aside from that, all you will need is a big appetite! We supply all food, equipment, aprons and reference material.
Right of refusal; BBQ School reserves the right to refuse any student to attend a class if the venue manager or chef instructor feels they are either intoxicated, under the influence of any substance that may cause harm to themselves, staff or students attending the scheduled class or are behaving in a way that could be deemed as either abusive or inappropriate.
Lost or damaged personal property; BBQ school will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of personal property left in the venue prior to, during or after a class or event. If a student leaves an item at the class venue, please contact us to see if we located it and to arrange to collect it.
Damage or loss of BBQ School property; Students or event organisers may be held financially responsible for any damage to or loss of property during the class or event. The cost of repairing or replacing any equipment, damage to walls, doors or other parts of the property because of inappropriate conduct will be charged to the person or hiring company involved.
